The AmTryke Foot Cycles were developed in response to requests from therapists for a traditional tricycle for riders with special needs. Oceana, Snappy, 1412, 1400 ProSeries, 1500 ProSeries and the 2700 Series will provide many choices to provide the best match for the size and ability of a rider. AmTrykes can be adapted with a wide variety of seating options and accessories so that most riders can feel safe and secure.

The JT-2000 foot cycle is a full featured recreation cycle. It boasts a fully adjustable recumbent seat that will fit almost any adult rider. The cycle features a 21-speed Shimano hub paired with rear disk and front hand brakes. It is designed for comfortable riding on paved trails and roads. The multiple speeds will allow the rider to keep pace with family members and friends in most situations and achieve higher speeds when appropriate. The turning radius is 10 feet.

The JT-2000 provides a comfortable ride with 21 gears to glide through and several degrees of seat adjustment.

Pros: Nice bike, easy to steer, pedal, nice ride. Easy to shift gears. Drink holder in the right place.
Cons: Wish it were rated for 350 LBS, a 2 inch wider seat, and better tires for us heavier people. Or an optional package for a wider seat and better tires. Also if you wear a long shirt, you will need to tuck it in or it may drag on the tires. But over all this bike is really a nice machine and a nice ride.
Comments: One of these Trikes was donated to the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. It is rated for 250lbs, but I am 345 after heart problems and surgery. Now I have to loose all this weight. I tried this bike and fell in love with it. Even though I currently weigh more than it can handle, the bike carried me on a 3 mile test ride with such comfort that I want to get one for myself. We currently have 4 people trying it out now, and starting to fight over who gets to check it out of the bike shop for the day. We need about 5 more here! This bike is becoming popular amongst the disabled veterans who can no longer ride a normal bike.
